MESA MERCADO Announces New Lunch Hours
CARMICHAEL, Calif., Oct. 18—MESA MERCADO, the new Mexican cuisine concept from Sacramento restauranteur Ernesto Delgado in Carmichael’s Milagro Center (6241 Fair Oaks Boulevard), today announced new daily lunch hours and happy hours.
MESA MERCADO will now open daily at 12 p.m., offering its lunch menu from 12 p.m.–3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The lunch menu features all of the dishes from the evening dinner menu, but with portions appropriately sized for lunch and at reduced prices. Popular dishes include Mexican staples such as Al Pastor Tacos and Carnitas, traditional classics such as Chile en Nogada and Mole Oaxaqueño, and vegetarian options such as the Caldo de Cosecha (fresh vegetable soup) and Tierra Madre (grilled vegetable tacos). MARGARITA $5
First opened in mid-August in the newly developed Milagro Centre in Carmichael—a new 40,000-square-foot public marketplace that is “filled with upscale culinary vendors and fabulous design,” (according to the developer’s Website)—MESA MERCADO integrates a restaurant and cocktail bar and soon-to-open taco bar and store that are inspired by the open-air mercados of Mexico City and Oaxaca, as well as Sacramento’s status as America’s Market-to-Table Capital. It has quickly developed a solid reputation and following from the Carmichael community, said Delgado.
“We are thrilled to offer Carmichael some exciting new options for their lunchtime and afternoon dining experiences,” said Delgado, who is also the proprietor of the popular Tequila Museo Mayahuel (1200 K Street) in downtown Sacramento. “We’ve been overwhelmed with how well the community immediately embraced us after we launched, and we are looking forward to our new hours being able to give us more opportunities to delight our guests.”
